Michèle Lamy, Bobby Woods & Les Deux Love Orchestra in W Magazine

Les Deux Cafes, redux

Leave it to Michele Lamy and her partner, designer Rick Owens, to draw one of Paris' wildest party crowds to Paris' straitlaced 7th arrondissement. Designers, tattoo artists, drag queens, socialites, goth kids and even a pro rugby player or two packed Chez Francoise on Friday for Lamy's one-night revival of Les Deux Cafes, the famed L.A. nightclub she created and owned. ( CLICK HERE for last week's interview with Lamy). As Greek artist Konstantin Kakanias watched Lamy take the stage to croon a few moody cabaret numbers, backed by Bobby Woods & Les Deux Love Orchestra, he enthused, "This is just like the old Les Deux. Only better."
